The play Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, a founding father of the United States who helped carve the beginnings of the country. The very first song of the play introduces who Alexander Hamilton is, and It is my favorite song of the play.

“Why a movie about Alexander Hamilton?” I thought to myself as I began the play. The other founding fathers have done more, while Hamilton was never more than a right-hand man. With the very first song, this question was answered as a story about the founding father that came from nothing managed to scrap his way as one of the most important characters in the story of America.

I believe Hamilton’s story is a tragedy because of the way he and his son were killed. However, That was just the ending. Throughout the entire story, it is evident that there are humor and moments that were added for comedic effect. I’d say Hamilton is more of a comedy than a tragedy because the very ending of the play is wholesome and shows praise to Hamilton.
